    Default Hronek + Rakell for Pionk + A. Boqvist + DeAngelo +

    32 Team Dynasty with cap (83.5M) - H2H points

My team is ranked 2nd and not too far off the lead for total points on the season so I am making a push this year with playoffs coming up. I've received this offer:

My Pionk (3.7fp/g) + A. Boqvist (2.5fp/g) + DeAngelo (2.84fp/g) + N. Robertson (2.88fp/g) for Hronek (4.4fp/g) and Rakell (3.93fp/g though he has been at 4.5fp/g since Guentzel was injured)

This will put me right under the cap and helps push this year but it uses up the last of my young players/prospects with value. Additionally I assume that Boqvist, DeAngelo and Robertson will be full time and cap efficient players next year when I'm dealing with raises for Pinto, Guentzel and a few others.

    Full team:

C (Start 4): Bennett, Jenner, O'Reilly, Pinto, Pavelski, Hertl, Sharongovich, McBain, Dowd, Shaw
F (Start 8): Kucherov, Hagel, Guentzelm JVR, Ylonen, C. Smith, Wheeler (LTIR)
D (Start 6): Josi, Letang, Liljegren, Pionk, Boqvist, Mikkola, DeAngelo, Lagesson, Ludvig, Tucker
    G (Start 2): Jarry, Fleury

I'm always for win now moves and this certainly bolsters the chances. All those players for most part are road blocked for the long haul by superior players or they've reached their ceiling in Pionk. Hronek is still young and may have another gear. After this push I am parting ways with Rakell regardless as the dark ages are beginning in the Steel City.

Ended up making the trade except managed to get a better forward by swapping out Rakell for Lehkonen and adding a couple minor pieces on my side.

    Final trade was Pionk (3.7fp/g) + A. Boqvist (2.5fp/g) + DeAngelo (2.84fp/g) + N. Robertson (2.88fp/g) + Comtois + 2025 4th for Hronek (4.4fp/g) + Lehkonen (4.7fp/g)

Not sure I love this. Hronek's stats look a lot better than they are based on his start of 23 points in 23 games. Since then he's been just a point per every other game guy. Hopefully it works out.

I get the cap concerns, and maybe you're all over this, but in a very deep dynasty, you turned loose a lot of potentially valuable players to get this deal done. As Rizzee says, Hronek's numbers are a bit deceiving, that's concerning. I love the swap of Rakell for Lehkonen, that certainly helps, but again, in a 32 team dynasty those "minor pieces" you had to include are not without value. I dunno, 5 players for 2 who may or may not make the difference for you this year is kinda the way I'm see this. I honestly hope it works out for you, but I'm just not liking this deal much, pretty risky.
