Simple question here, would you trade beniers for power, both have a disapointing season in my league its points only but defense have a very good value.
Thanks

I'd rather have Beniers (and in fact, I'm rostering him while Power is available as a free agent). Power was already behind Dahlin and now Byram seems to have immediately leapfrogged over him.
Beniers is hampered by a poor supporting cast in Seattle, but in points leagues forwards are pretty much always better than D.

While it is generally true that D in pts only formats typically have more value than F this really needs to be determined on a case-by-case basis and in this case I'd rather own Berniers. I have a sense that Power is going to be one of those types of players that will have far more value in the real world than he will in fantasy circles. He is not going to see prime offensive minutes any time soon, he is buried pretty good in Buffalo. It's not that he doesn't have good upside, he does, but this is all about opportunity and he's behind the eight ball in that respect. Berniers on the other hand is a player that I believe will be given every opportunity to reach his full offensive potential, he is skating almost 18 minutes a night getting over 2 minutes of PP and this as a 21 year old. Given his upside, 85 and a 3YP of 70 according to Dobber, and his current deployment, well, he's my clear cut choice.

I'm taking Beniers on the difference in opportunity given similar talent levels & performance to date. He's already essentially SEA's #1C and will get the ice time and teammates as such. Power is going to be stuck behind Dahlin for the entirety of his time in BUF and now throw Bryam into that equation as well. If Power gets traded at some point I would reevaluate, but there's no signs of that happening in the near future.
