He has knee surgery, and was likely out the whole season. But if he goes to Vegas, he's all of a sudden ready for game 1

Hertl's recovery timeline just sped up a whole bunch.
Funny how a trade from bottom feeder to a cup contender can do for recovery.

Easiest way is to have a playoff cap of 20 players. And I think they need to do something. Or just have a cap for the opening night of the season. The second the season starts, you only have a cap floor and teams can acquire any cap they want.Originally Posted by gogoayane

SJS is out of retention slots till 2025-26 season, they will be retaining at least 2 salaries until 2027 summer.
The 17% retention will be over $8m in salary over the contract length. They will be retaining over $6m in salary next yr.
