Mittelstadt going to the Avs makes him an intriguing pick up but I'm not sure I can actually make it work. With Slafkovsky on my IR, I need to drop two players if I'm going to add anyone. McBain is the obvious first choice. I've been hanging onto him out of a combination of sentimentality over how great a banger asset he was last year and the fact that he was one of my keepers, but I think it's well past time to move on.

But I'm not sure who else I want to get rid of. The three options I can see are Foligno, Slafkovsky, and Beniers. I just traded for Slafkovsky, so I really don't want to drop him and Foligno has been a surprisingly strong multi-cat contributor. Mittelstadt would make up for the lost offense, but Slafkovsky doesn't hit quite as much. That leaves me looking at Beniers as the best (?) option. I picked him up a few weeks ago after he was dropped, so I don't have any attachment to him as a keeper but do I risk giving up on the potential he showed last year?
