Jaw Dropper! Mittelstadt could do what Kadri did a couple seasons ago if he gets on PP1. As for Byram, with two other d-men signed for nearly a combined $20M per season, I doubt he sniffs the PP and it would not shock me if he is packaged in another deal this offseason.

Buffalo has said they plan on keeping Byram, now, it might then end up shifting 1 of their LHD signed to 7+ years to the right side and see how it works. Right now, it'll be easy since Samuelsson is hurt, Byram slots in to the 3rd pair, PP2 unit. Next yr though...who knows.

I think Byram is better asset than CM but Colorado had huge positional need. Good trade for both. As Byram owner I’m not sure how this pans out….

Unless one of Dahlin, Power or Byram plan on moving to their off side and plays the right side, I don't understand this trade for Buffalo. I understand why they traded Middlestadt but I don't understand why Byram.
