Also, replacing Guentzel with Bunting for Crosby is an under looked thing I think. I don't know how many players that have the track record of top 6 minutes would be available at $4.5m in free agency.
It's a return, they got 2 prospects that were drafted recently in the 2nd round, a 2nd round pick and 2 long shot pieces. I think it's fair value, and I think we see Dubas valuing multiple pieces from Carolina more than a 1st from Vegas, because I think they offered up the 1st, but not the prospects. And something Dubas did well in Toronto was getting a lot of players with high ceilings, and low floors and some panned out. Maybe we see that here.

Looking at this return it defiantly seemed like Pittsburgh wanted a top 6/9 forward in return for now. I'm glad the Canucks didn't do it, it would of probably been Hoglander and he's starting to look like a real player.
As for the return. Bunting has been solid for them, and honestly is 65% replacement value for Guentzal. The spare parts aren't great but there a bunch of lottery tickets, if one just strikes + Bunting then this trade could look a lot better.
