Keeper Help - REP Given!
Hey All,
For a Keep 8 Points Only league (15 teams, start 9F, 4D, 2G), am I choosing the right keepers? We need to decide early as we can't trade away keepers in the off-season after the upcoming trade deadline. Good young D are hard to get ahold of, which is why I'm considering keeping Sanderson. Should I swap anyone out? If so, for who? Thanks!

I think your 8 are the right 8. Meier's points are capped by being another cog in the Devils' top 6. Huberdeau is a no for me, dog. And I'm not putting any faith into Sanderson as long as Chabot and Chychrun are also there.

I'd personally be keeping Sanderson here (likely over Scheif... or maybe RNH).
Caveat being you noted D were hard to come by and 100% would help to know how many teams and how many F/D you start to offer the best advice. (E.g. if it's a 10-team start 9F/3D I'd say you've got the right choices without Sanderson)
I think this year will be the last anyone in a pts league that values D is going to have a shot at having Sanderson. It's a bit more of a risk - but when it's your 8/8 keeper, I'd rather swing for the fences a little.

I'd keep Sanderson over Scheifele. I see Scheifele as a 70-75 pt player for the next couple of years, and then dropping off from there. Sanderson could become a 65 pt dman very soon, imo. He has all the tools and is on an upward trajectory compared to Scheifele.

I want to circle back on Meier as an option since Toffoli got traded away and he's been over a PPG player for most of the second half of the year. Meier seems locked into the top line long term, riding shotgun with Hughes (or worst case scenario, Hischier, which is still great).
Should I move on from Scheifele or RNH (both age 31) and keep Meier (age 27) now instead? I'd probably lean toward dropping RNH, as except for last year he's generally been a 60 point guy over the years. Thoughts?
