I'm not quite sure what you're really asking here but I'll take a stab and offer the following options:

I like the idea of going after Old Joe in a trade. Play up the fact he is 75 years old and you might get him real cheap and I'm betting he will produce for you. This is the option I like least.

Pinto is a great FA pick up. I'd rather have Beniers but unless I miss my guess that is going to cost you and if neither Pinto or Beniers is a keeper for you (which they aren't) what you would have to pay for Beniers is not worth it IMO. I like this option, it comes in at number two.

I think that there is a very very good chance that Brandt Clarke is in the NHL for good. Clarke is your replacement (and then some) for Malinski, cost zero, you already own him. Your best option IMO.

Thanks Bubba. Only reason I'm hesitant to bring up Clarke is I can only make 2 more moves with bench till end of season.

As for other moves...I am waiting on an answer but I could probably get Nyquist, Pinto, Beniers for Konecny, Perfetti and Guenther without having to pay anything else.

Pavelski's age scares me.
