Re: Pavelski/Chabot for Thompson/Carlson
This ultimately depends on your scoring cats and where you need to improve and where you might be able to take a slight hit.
The D swap is nice for you. The offensive numbers are pretty much a dead heat, but Carlson gives you significantly more hits and blocks. I like Carlson here and if you need the extra hits and blks I like it that much more.
Pavelski is currently scoring at .80 pts/gm; TT at .69; SOG should be pretty much a wash; Hits favors TT but only by 10 or so; Blocks favors Joe but the difference is significant. Right now, Pavelski is the better own IMO. RoS, I don't think that changes much, Joe and the Stars are playing well and the Sabres and TT are pretty much bumbbling along.
Honestly, this just seems to be going sideways at best and it's costing you downgraded draft picks if you want to go there. Maybe over the last quarter the respective numbers for these players changes but taking a deal and having to hope for that to happen just doesn't seem like a good idea.
If you could simplify and get the Carlson for Chabot piece of this to happen, then great, I'd pursue that. If not, I'm passing and looking for something else.
