Bench Vasilevskiy or shop him ?

Goaltending has been my weakness. Unable to address it as we approach our trade deadline.

Bench him and hope Gustavsson, Skinner can hold the fort along with streaming a goalie ?

If I could trade him who would be a reasonable target ?

Vas is still Vas.
But it does look like he's sort of "mailing it in".
The TB defense, beyond Hedman... is pretty bad.

When a goalie hits the ice and feels like the team in front of him is a major downgrade (by skill or hustle) from what he's used to... sometimes they just don't play sharp.
Vas has the cups, they are perennial Eastern playoff team, he probably paces himself and really isn't tuned in some games.

I think he'll turn it around in March.
Hopefully TB adds something to their D... if its available on the trade market.

The team really just needs one new or returning piece to have "hope"... and I then I think Vas' game will be "back".
Hold firm... but benching him until the team shifts... may be a decent move.

Why do you have to bench him?

All I meant was to stop starting him no matter the opponent. It seems every week at least one of my goalies implodes. Which makes the match much tougher. I feel some solace in knowing I’m not alone when it comes to goalie frustration.
