    Default Headsup: Grab Deaclan Chisolm

    Just a friendly headsup

That guy is looking pretty good with limited time. He reminds me of Cal Addison back when he was good. But a bigger version that can also play the PK

He's a offense first guy and he's getting a few PP minutes here and there. Of course he won't get ahead of Faber but he's still under the radar

    Grab him while you can

Also, 0.7m in a caps league is super nice

He has put up some very nice numbers in the AHL as well as 5 pts in 7 gms to start his NHL career. OK, he has me interested. In a league that's depth and structure warrants it, he is definitely worth a pickup. At the least, put him on your radar and sit back and see what happens. A gem coming out of the 5th round is somewhat rare, but it does happen.

The blocks are nice as is 5 points in 8 games. But I'm a little concerned about the fact that he's averaging only 0.5 hits/game and only just over that in shots/game. 8 games is obviously an incredibly small sample size, so the low number of shots and hits could be anything from how he's being deployed to a guy getting used to the NHL. I'm personally not going to grab him just now, but he's definitely going on the watch list. Thanks for the tip.

My pleasure. I still remember when I grabbed both Gostisbehere and Klingberg because of a similar post. So I figured I might as well throw it out there.

I always feel like at this time of the year most of the gms are a bit lacking and it's easy to miss a new upcoming talent that comes out of nowhere.

The comparison to Addison was mostly because the guy thinks offense first and he's not really physical even tho he's got the size for it. He's a good player tho

Off topics but in real life, and I mean not in fantasy, I find it so damn annoying to see a big guy that has no physical upside. Declan Chisolm is ''only" 6'1, there's worst but he still fits the bill

I have no opinion on Chisolm.

I'm just popping in here to reminisce about grabbing Gostisbehere and Klingberg before they became well-known. Those two moves went a long way to helping me win three champion titles in my league. Good times.

Also, FWIW, Faber is a guy I wish I had grabbed before he became a known commodity. I know he was a 2nd round pick, but his offense is not something many people expected. He's been a huge steal for anyone who grabbed him early.

I just found this out, if Chisolm does pan out, the Jets will be wearing it pretty good, as the Wild claimed Chisolm off waivers from Winnipeg. Following this gets more interesting (:
