    Default Grubauer turning a corner?

Anyone buying into grub last few starts yet? Daccord seems to be slipping his past 5 starts or so.

He's getting a big chance tonight in Boston. Tough opponent, but if he wins he probably gets to run with it. Daccord isn't a proven starter and Grubauer, while generally horrible since he got to Seattle, has been a starter and is the one making the big money. I'd be nervous if I had Daccord.

Agreed, Hypothetically speaking, if he does have a good game tonight is he worth grabbing over Thompson? The reason I ask is my team was crushing things when Vegas and Vancouver goalies were top of the heap, but they've both come back down to earth and without having the starts to just fill in as many games when I have a bad peripheral week I get spanked. I don't see Thompson stealing Hill's starters net, but who knows....he hasn't been lights out either. I just acquired Rittich in a trade to help in that aspect.

I think I'd hold off for now. Grubauer needs to do a lot to prove he's worth owning over a Thompson level guy. It's a bit wonkier owning parts of tandems here and there, but I think Thompson is the better own nonetheless.

All things otherwise being equal, or even close, Grubauer will be ridden, especially since they'll likely want him to get into a good rhythm before the playoffs. Daccord served his purpose and could be called upon if Grubauer does falter; however, with both healthy it would take prolonged subpar play from Grubauer before Daccord would become the 1A, and even then his leash would be shorter than Grub's. I was one of those who grabbed Daccord, and while I'd love for him to be "the guy" the rest of the season, I got way more than I expected and had a contingency plan in place since I figured this outcome would be more likely to occur than not.

Just another factor to consider: Seattle has one of the easiest schedule in the league moving forward.
Whoever gets the net should see weak opponents in the latter parts of March and early April.
    3x Anaheim, 2x San Jose, 2x Arizona, 1x Montreal.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.
