Help fix my team @ Trade Deadline

Keep 6 with our trade deadline a week away.

Would appreciate any advice on what areas I need to improve going forward
Players and team needs to target ?

8 of 10 teams make the playoffs. I’m in the top 3.

Goaltending has been snatching defeat from the jaws of victory lately.

Could use some more hits/blocks at D

Would one or both of bottom teams possibly consider Tage Thompson as a keeper? or maybe they would have more interest in Necas

Currently teams placed 4-9 are all but in but 1.
The last place team, not going to make the playoffs, new GM hasn’t quite grasped the concept to trade his non-keepers for draft picks or potential keepers like Thompson, Necas, Sergachev etc.
Sergachev would be a keeper for him, however he has in his head that the injury is career threatening and he won’t be back.

Then you leave that GM to languish, they won't move so don't even bother.

I would take a hard look at teams 5 thru 9. Really think who is legit enough to compete come playoffs, then focus on the 1-2 teams who will fight it out for 8th and 9th. Make them your focus.
Examine their rosters to find a player or 2 who helps you and compare against the guys you mentioned above and if you can see them being better Keepers for said GM, make your offer.

Yeah all your best Centres are wings haha. I don' t really get the Thompson - C business. But I would be trying to get an upgrade at Centre.
I always look at the guys who wont' make the playoffs. So see who the best Centres are down there. It's tough with the keepers especially if that one guy doesn't really get it. I would try two centres for one better one but there are limited guys to trade with based on the format.

Appreciated. Our league changed from 12 to 10 teams this season due to a couple owners leaving.
It was much easier with 4 teams not making the playoffs.
