im keeping Carlsson, Fantilli and Wolf here. Faber is nice (i JUUUUST acquired him) but i dont think hes a keeper over those three..
League in sig.
After a 3-peat, pivoted a bit to retool this year. Keeper locks are:
B. Tkachuk
Stutzle
Rantanen
Dahlin
Svechnikov
Likely keeping
Montour
I have room for one more 'vet'. It'll be Caufield (likely) if he doesn't miss 5+ games this year. If he does miss at least 5 games, he'll continue to qualify as a prospect which would be nice.
If I keep Caufield as a vet, the key drops would be Sergachev, Ehlers and Kopitar.
The difficulty I have is figuring out which 3 prospects to keep (assuming Caufield takes a vet spot).
I've got Faber, Carlsson, Fantilli, Daws, Levi, Wolf
I'd hate to go into next year with no goalies. I also don't want to drop either of Carlsson or Fantilli. Faber's doing unprecedent things (rookie toi), but doesn't have a strong history of scoring. He's also dropped off lately. Levi and Wolf both have sky-high potential, but statistically are a few years away.
How would you rank the prospects I'm considering? Thanks!

Thanks, I appreciate the perspective. I do have the option of making trades over the summer. It's notoriously hard to get draft picks for fringe vet keepers (Sergachev, Kopitar, Ehlers), but because of the 3 prospect keeper requirements you can often get picks for solid prospect keepers. So Faber at least will likely garner interest.

When do you have to make these decisions? I agree that Fantilli and Carlsson are easy keepers for rookies but I'd need to know more about the Markstrom situation before Wolf becomes a keeper.
I am not sure Montour is a keeper for me in this setup either. I'd keep Sergachev over Montour if you're worried about keeping another Dman.

I don't have to make a decision until a week before our off-line slow draft starts, so around mid-September. I agree re Wolf and Markstrom.
I was debating Sergachev and Montour. Was leaning Sergachev 3 weeks ago. His most recent injury suggests he'll likely drop in the draft a bit. Meanwhile Montour's starting to put up #s pretty close to last year the last 10ish games. That has me leaning Montour atm.
Thanks Axe
Caufield a no-brainer keep even as a vet?
