It's even worse when that said owner has several Oilers on his fantasy team.

Week one of our playoffs, and with only one game played and two to go, McDavid single-handedly already has more points than my entire roster combined.

The good news is that comparatively-speaking, the rest of the players on his roster this week are chumps: Kucherov, Thomas (4-points in his first game), Makar, Josi, and Vasilevskiy.

I would hazard to guess that most rosters that have McDavid, don’t actually win their leagues, especially in dynasty formats. I’m only in one dynasty and the guy drafted McDavid 1st overall and then took Georgiev and Romanov with his 2nd and 3rd rounders.

If your league needs depth, McDavid is probably your curse because you either paid a ton to get him or had to wait for the backend of the snake in rounds 2 and 3.

Would actually be an interesting poll.
Does the team with McDavid in your league, have a decent shot at winning the championship? Yes or No.

10-12 team leagues, answer is probably yes because there is lots of depth to go around. In dynasties, I bet it is a resounding no.

Those of you with Oettinger on your roster. Are you going to start him against Edmonton?

I currently have 2 wins and a .942 SV%. I also have Markstrom vs Detroit.
He has 1 win and a 0.962 SV%. He has Fleury vs Buffalo and Kuemper vs Montreal.

Neither of us have goalies on Sunday.

I'm pretty sure there was a post last year, stating that the stats showed McDavid had the highest % of being rostered on the championship team.
This makes sense as his gap between him and the next best was pretty substantial. That's not the case this year so I would think some other player (like Kucherov) would have the (current) highest percentage.
