Default Please weigh on on best keepers for next year.

    Keep 5
    Kucherov
    Eichel
    Point
    Q. Hughes
    M. Tkachuk
    Vasilevskiy

Have some other good guys but will come down to not keeping one of these.

Cats are 10 for skaters (hits, Face offs PIMs and the usuals) and only 4 for goalies.

So leaning towards not keeping Vasie

    thanks!

    McDavid/Necas/ Kucherov/Bjorkstrand/Rust/Nugent Hopkins/Cirelli/Zegras/- Letang/Morrissey/Dahlin - Swayman/Saros/Skinner

    Prospects include:
    McTavish/Clarke/Bordeleau
    Dumais/Korchinski/Hutson

Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.

It's either not keep Eichel or Vasi. If fewer than 10 goalies are kept, probably Eichel is the guy I'd hold. But if many goalies are retained, Vas might have the edge, as Eichel, although doing well, seems like he's not likely to be the huge producer we hoped he could be once he fully recovered from his early career setbacks.

I'd drop Eichel and keep Vasilevskiy.

Point is the drop for me, and not really a hard choice.

Centres are in abundance I'd imagine during the re-draft and Point does not take enough faceoffs to warrant holding a spot.

Vasilevskiy, while having a down year, is coming off an injury remember, he's still the guy you want as a goalie keeper.

You could argue keeping Point over Eichel, but that would be more of a preference thing.

If it's a 10-team league or less... I'm definitely rolling without a goalie (Vas).
If it's a 12-team 2G league or more... I probably want to try to keep Vas.

TB's defense has a been a mess this year with Serg missing 20+gp and Cernak missing 10+gp.
TB has been all-in on investments though near trade deadline...

In Mar 2022, they moved their 2024 1st for Hagel
In Feb 2023, they moved their 2025 1st for Jeannot
So... with 2024 deadline coming... I think they'll look for a D-man this year.
And that should help Vas going forward.

Their GM/Analytics is good at pulling in contracts/value - and overall that helps team construction in offseason and cap-maxing.
I think this is reason to have faith in Vas' defensive support network.

    I'm dropping Eichel.
He seems like the new Malkin.
A great point-per-game player that will miss 20%-50% of every season...
And maybe he'll even get "shut down" at end of regular season (fantasy playoffs!) to heal up for NHL playoffs.

IDK... just not worth it when you have this group.

I am between dropping Point or Eichel.

Though lean more dropping Eichel given his injury history.

Thats what I came to say- Point is a great player but a clear tier down from these guys- to me hes a ppg guy who can pop for 90 a handful.of times. I wouldn't drop the top.goalie to keep that personally. Interesting responses...

The thing people.foregt is that even though goalies only have 4 stats.... EVERYBODY has to start goalies lol! So having a the dominant edge from a top three goalie (top goalie???) is still a big advantage. Again it might be more interesting if you had 5 legit superstar skaters but as good as Point is I really don't put him.in that rarified air.

Vasy has struggled and is still a top ten this year. By next year hes likely a cheat code again- Id try not to overtime this one....
