Generally speaking, I will take the forward over the D in a points only format, but when it comes to guys who are not in the NHL full time now, it's hard to predict who will be the better scorer in 2-3 years out.
Hi,
In 2-3 years in a points only pool, is it better to own Miroshnichenko or Zellweger ?
Thanks
8 teams - Pts only - 6 keepers + 1 goalie + 10 prospects (less than 250 games played and no season with more than 75 pts for fowards and 55 pts for defencemans.)
4C - 6W - 3D - 2G (1 pt win + 2 pts SO)
C - McDavid, Aho, Monahan, Frost, Zacha, Bedard [R], Rossi [R], Krebs
W - Huberdeau, Reinhart, Tuch, Terry, Toffoli, Kakko, Boldy [R], Byfield [R], Perfetti [R], Guenther [R], Benson [R], Bourque [R], Evangelista [R], Greig [R]

This is just my opinion, but I feel that Zellwegar has a much higher upside than Miro long term. That Caps will likely be very bad for awhile, and Miro projects more as a mid line forward. Z has PP1 potential on a loaded ducks squad moving forward
With Drysdale out of the picture and Mintyukov slowing after a strong start, I see a path for Zellweger to make noise as soon as next season. Washington is showing its age, which on the one hand makes it viable for Miroshnichenko to get into the NHL sooner, but also means he won't have a great supporting cast as would've been the case several years ago. Zellweger would be my choice.
