Trying to add Bedard!!

Well I just sent a crazy offer last night- and this morning the feedback was that they considered it and its close but they didn't have any faith in wright.

So in a D-heavy league where top D are kings among men...

I replaced Wright with Werenski.

Full deal:

L Carlsson
Werenski
1st next year 6-12 range but also in the lottery window for 2nd and 3rd
Mangiapane
Schmid
Severson

* Were in a deep league so Mangiapane and Severson actually end up as short term upgrades.

If they're considering it and you're close, keep at it - lots of good pieces, including that high pick and a future star in Carlsson, but I would assume you are not giving up any of your top producing players here so I see it as a good deal long term.

If I am the Bedard owner, I probably dont even bother and decline this very quickly. You're offering quantity for quality. You're also probably forcing them to drop current roster players to make room for all the guys you are trying to send him just to move out one guy.

I dont know what either roster looks like in this situation but if I am the Bedard owner, the only piece in your offer that warms the bell is Carlsson, and he would have to be a secondary piece to your offer, not the primary one, if I am moving Bedard.

I would say no as the Bedard owner, but if the other owner says you're close, keep pushing and don't be afraid to add to it.

As a Bedard owner I can tell you that this offer is not even close, pretty terrible in fact, one of the worst I've seen. Axe nailed it, you are offering a bunch of quantity for a generational talent. Really? If the other guy goes for this, well, great for you, but I highly doubt that will happen.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yea he took time to think about it and eventually declined and this time the feedback was just that he didn't think he could.move Bedard right now. I get that- but I figured I had to try- lol!

You never know unless you ask. However if you decide to pursue Bedard again I would suggest including a stud/top player in the offer. Less quantity and more quality.

I've sent an offer with Jack Hughes- lol!its not a one for one ftr- ill update if he responds...

i know im in minority here but i dont think i would trade my Hughes for Bedard. Jack has been unbelievable. Took him time but he is true superstar and only thing keeping him from truly exploding is injuries.

I agree with this. Until proven otherwise, they seem like the same player to me, fantasy-wise. Bedard being a couple years younger might make a difference to you, but that might be cancelled out by the lack of scoring talent around Bedard.

I’m keeping Jack Hughes here. Your scoring is ideal for Hughes. Premium on goals , plus a little something for shots on goal. Two areas in which Jack excels.

I’m still kicking myself on letting an offer for Jack Hughes go without accepting.
