In my signature salary cap league, I have been offered Hischier for my Korchinski.
That would force me to make cap space, but would that be a good move ?

Accepting that trade offer and getting Hischier may mean dropping Ovechkin.

i think we have to consider the production window on owning Ovi is coming to an end here. i would venture to guess that Hischier is outpacing Ovi this season and dont see that changing. Ovi is old man...
i would do this trade, then figure out the repercussions after...

He's basically trading Ovechkin and Korchinski for Hischier. I love Hischier but not at that price and I'm not giving up on Ovechkin just yet.

as i read it right now,
Ovi in Hertl out (IR moves)
Korch out, Hiscier IN (trade)
for theshort term its good..as the season wears on more IRs come and go..
even then a 9.5Mill Ovi???!

I failed to think about the salary at the end of this trade. So ya I guess you have a decision to make. Do we still have some hope for Ovi? I dunno if I do but outright dropping him still seems like an odd move. Are you able to move Ovi ahead of time?
