Theodore is funny player when comes to fantasy hockey. If you have him you want pot of gold. When you trade for him you get garbage. I got offered as low as 3 rd round rookie entry draft pick for him

I traded Tavares for Theodore in my Dynasty format. Fingers crossed he plays longer than 3 months in a row, but I'm taking the risk as I think Theodore could be the next Josi as he's entering into his prime.

Wow, that's high praise. I agree that Theodore is a fickle beast to evaluate in fantasy. Your perception of him shows why. I don't think you're alone in having very high hopes for him despite some of the availability frustrations to date.
Just makes him one of those players as to whom it can be very difficult to get a deal done sometimes, as others have noted.

offensively maybe somewhat close but as a whole package no way… not the same universe imo… but Josi was top 3 D for a while so that is hard to match… Theodore is a good player but not at that level
