Is it possible PIT holds Guentzel?

PHI, the 8th team in East, has basically just bowed out/conceded.
That leaves NYI at 68pts (61gp). NYI, though, should win at San Jose (late game, 10:30pm EST).
Win tonight puts PIT at 66pts (61gp). PIT plays home to Washington (7pm)
That's just 2pts back NYI-to-PIT, in same GP.
21gp left... which is a lot.

Sid's only got this year and next left on his contract. UFA in 2025.
If the team bails on a run this year... that's fuel for him to maybe not come back?
Boy... Dubas has got to be feeling some EXTREME heat right now.

Any team wanting Guentzel should feel they are a lock to win one series.
Which puts their 2024 1st rounder (say) at the 25-32 range.
PIT couldn't possibly turn that into anything NEAR Guentzel-value.
Usually... an organization (regardless of which) is waiting 4-5 years (average), with only a 50% chance, that a 25-32 range guy pans out (i.e. like a Connor McMichael, best-case).

So... I'm watching closely that PIT game tonight.
Does Guentzel play?
Do they win?
What's the team vibe IF they win?
(Because its certainly over if they lose)

And... not to forget... but the Florida Panthers only nudged into the Eastern #8 seed last year in the last day or two...

I saw it by NickFoley, Illinois based writer. Plus Toronto/Blues rumours around Parayko seem like an annual thing lol. Unrelated but the Leafs are also putting Lagesson on waivers at 2pm to create more space for the deadline.

Sounds like Avs picked up Duhaime from the Wild, not sure if it's post worthy yet.
