Marner vs Nylander + mid-range pick. Is this a wash?
I have Marner and am considering a trade to alleviate some keeper problems. Checking my biases here - would you do this deal?

I had asked a recent question in Rick Roos Fantasy Mailbag about Marner, Nylander, Stutzle, Kaprizov.
The current ranking from the Mailbag answer: Marner, Nylander, Kaprizov, Stutzle.
With Marner, Nylander, Stutzle being very close as soon as next season.
In answer to your question if moving Marner for Nylander helps your roster issue, it’s pretty much a lateral move.

It's funny because I was looking at Nylander's game logs just yesterday. I'm not saying he's the 'okay, I got paid, now I can let off' type of player, but:
Jan 8 - signs his new fat contract.
Jan 9 - gets three apples vs SJS
Since then, in 9 games, he manages 2G and 2A. (Both goals were against Vancouver in one game and both assists were in one game vs Calgary.) (He's also -3 since that SJS game.)
Again, just an observation.

I'd want Marner.
Believe he's the better player, producer and has the better skills.
So I would hold Marner in this deal.

Marner does better in assists, hits and blocked shots
Nylander is better in goals and shots on goal
Plus minus and PP pts are a wash.
Looks like a lateral move to me as well.
