My Huberdeau, hampus lindholm, a 5th and a 6th round pick

I’m first in my league and I have already moved a few picks including my first and 3rd. I feel I’m upgrading in both postions but not sure if im giving up too much?

not enough info here...but if its dynasty and those are entry draft picks i would do this only for the Cat so easy accept. If its deep keeper im also doing this...i would only hesitate if you keep 3 players or so and those 5th and 6th round picks actually mean something for following year.

Besides the rounds, what are the picks? Are they simply prospect picks for the upcoming draft or are they involved somehow differently.

My initial reaction is it's an accept but it almost seems like there's something missing as to why someone would trade Debrincat and Toews for Huberdeau/Lindholm and picks.

The picks are for next year. We only keep 3 players for the following year. 2 F 1D or 1F 1D 1G.

Looking at your roster, I am going to assume none of these guys are keepers for you but your intention is to "sell the farm" so to say to try and guarantee victory this year?

8 teams in my league. I’ve already started to sell the farm I have no 1st,2nd or 4th pick, which is why i’m a little hesitant.

So if you dont have many picks and only allowed to keep a very limited number, what happens next season with your roster? How do you fill it? Do you just pick up players after the draft from the scraps left over?

Sorry, I should have said. I basically trade my 5th and 6th and hell give me a lower pick like a 15th or 16th rounder which in a 8 man league doesnt mean much, considering you can get free agents just as good.

with your set up guy like Debrincat would bet there at 5th or 6th probably...i dont like this deal for you in the future...

if you really believe that there is 90% chance you will win this year then go for it and just suck next year...otherwise i would pass
