1st trade of the season
I traded Fiala and R. Andersson for Charlie McAvoy. As much as I like Fiala, he sits almost every game with Forsberg, Tkachuk and Robertson ahead of him. I like the addition of McAvoy with solid scoring and above average peripherals, despite Andersson having a solid season as well. Gotta give to get. Plus, if Sergachev comes back, that's a solid 4 d-man group and it allows me to have forwards that score more than bang.

from your explanation i think this deal maybe fits your team but im not sure how much better McAvoy is from Andersson.
When it comes to asset management and value of players i think you loose this trade by quite a bit. Also as soon as you loose LW to injury you are going to regret this, and isnt Fiala both LW/RW in your league?

No, I wouldn't have moved him if he was. I have 4 players that can easily fill in as LW if an injury happens and I have a spare slot now that I will be back filling the loss of Fiala to some degree. Or I'll just use his slot to stream (5 moves per week).Originally Posted by Belexus75

Thanks, I probably could have, but there's not a lot of movement in my league right now. Teams are still jockeying for position. In my league Fiala's value and ranking is very low despite being near a PPG. I see McAvoy as more of a cat stacker, which is probably why he's ranked at #66 and climbing in Yahoo with my league's setup. If Fiala wasn't my 4th best LW, he's an easy hold.....especially because he usually has a strong 2nd half. We shall see how this works out.

I think you give a lot but elite dman as McAvoy cost that price, so it’s all good imo
