Zegras + Chabot for Josi

'Win now' mode. I'd definitely be getting a lot older with this trade, but with how many good young forwards coming into the league next year, I feel like I'm fine to do this trade and it better positions me for a championship this year and next.

Is Josi worth this, or does his age make this a hard no?

Side note: I traded Mintyukov for Hedman last week before the Drysdale trade thinking Minty was going to battle with Dry and Zell, but now am a bit regretting that trade, so I'm in a weird mode where losing young pieces gives me anxiety.

As a Josi owner, I would not trade him for Zegras and Chabot, as I highly value elite dman more than elite fowards.
aslo I am not à fan of Chabot, so good luck with that offer but if it is accepted by the other gm, I think that it would be a huge win for you especially in a win now mode.

So his first ask was Keller for Josi but I don't think I could do that. Keller being a 25 year old ppg player with Cooley coming through the ranks. Definitely possible it's a hard no on the Zegras + Chabot deal. Looking at my team what would be a fair 2 for 1 trade? Or maybe a 1 for 1?

Really eh!? I should have made this forum about Keller for Josi to see what people's thoughts were on that. Idk, I see Keller being far more valuable than Josi who has maybe 2.5 good years left in him.

yes really, with your cats i dont think its even close. Only edge Keller has is points , which is not by much, and he is a F and first option on Arizona.

All other stats belong to Josi and i see that continue for at least 2-3 more years...good enough for me.

I think you will have to offer Barkov caliber of foward to get Josi, but that’s just me.

I’d do the Keller deal or the Zegras/Chabot deal to get Josi when your in win now mode.

Zegras on the shelf long term is a hard sell to any knowledgeable owner. Since you'd be getting Josi, I would be selling high on Harley and packaging with likes of Tavares. You're going to have to give a high value forward to get someone to offload Roman.

Agree with this, Josi will still offer solid production for a couple years and as appealing as someone like Keller is since his exposure with the Yotes, he is scoring focused and replaceable. Zegras, injury aside, looks like he’s showing some cracks that could hinder his star power.

Tavares is in a funk right now, but if you want Josi you kind of have to give someone close to his value up front knowing you can likely get more games out of him on the backend.
