    Default Puustinen

    Deep 24 team dynasty:

Have a trade offer for my Puustinen for a 2nd (2024) and 3rd (2025) pick. I'm leaning to taking it as I can't see Puustinen being that good. The offer came in when he was riding a decent striker and getting decent minutes.

I've watched Puustinen play quite a bit and I'd take the picks. Puustinen is easy to replace I'd think.

To be fair, Puustinen is a good player but will likely top out at 3rd line and it will take him a longer time to hit his stride (he's 5'9 I think)

so those are what , like 30 and maybe 50th overall in NHL entry draft?

those picks have maybe 5% chance or less to even make it to NHL let alone be anything?

Here you have young guys who is producing already and has upside. Even if he is just a 40-45 player, in 24 team league there is room for him and he will be valuable. I would pass.

Thanks folks, Puustinen is sitting at a 2.8fp/g right now, of which there are 3-5 players around that and alot just under that on the waiver wire. I'm not sure at 5'8 if he's ever going to be much. I am in a win now mode, back to back champions but I am coming towards the "end of my reign" and I'd like to start stocking up for the future, so that's why it's a consideration for me.

4 game point streak for Puustinen. Played over 17 minutes last night. He's making the most of his opportunity so it will be interesting to see where he goes from here.

I think you need to roll with Puustinen. Two reasons. First, he has shown he can be a legit NHL player, it is encouraging. 2nd reason, those picks you would get in return, well, I'm with Belexus here, the chances of them panning out are not good at all and you will have to wait 2 or 3 years to find that out. Stick with Puustinen.
