    Default Drysdale or York

Unfortunately, I have both in a 16 team dynasty, I imagine one of them is about to become a good real life asset but not so much fantasy.

Thoughts? I do have an offer on the table for York (York & Dubois for Jeannot & Moore) which I don't think I want but at least there is interest.

I dont think anyone can really answer the Drysdale vs York question until we see what Torts has in mind, and that could take a few games. My best guess is Drysdale takes over PP1, considering what they paid for him, but that's a Torts question and not a management one.

this is my thought process...better or not, Drysdale gets first shot due to situation

A recent article that I had read - I think it was maybe the Athletic

Suggested that York wasn't turning into the PP guy that they wanted and that they were even giving Zamula and Sanheim reps on the 1st PP unit recently.

I have not been able to watch a Flyers game in a long time, so I am only going on what I read.

So if this is the case, then I am thinking Drysdale is getting the PP1 slot for a while to see what he can do with it.

If he's healthy, I prefer Drysdale as I think York will be better irl than in fantasy. But if he continues to be as injured as he has been then he and guys like Byram will never reach their potential. You need to be in the line up to earn points.
I'd rather still bet on the upside of Drysdale but Yorks floor is better

I think Drysdale is substantially better than York and that the only things that could derail him are Torts' whims and injury history.

Both legit reasons for derailing him.

Drysdale - a piece brought to PHI by current GM Briere
York - a piece brought to PHI by previous GM Fletcher

When there is anything close to a coin flip... you go with the guy that belongs to current GM.

    Two things I can say:
I have watched a good share of Cam York this year and don't see anything that suggests he has D1 potential.
I have not watched enough of Jamie Drysdale at NHL level. (so - I can't really speak on this one fairly/intelligently)

I think Drysdale will have more opportunities and success going forward. More than he would have had in Anaheim and more than York.

I gave up on York last season when I realized that his development slowed down and that Torts didn't really trust him. In his D+5 season, he's sharing the role of PP1 pointman with players like Sanheim or Zamula.

Drysdale is the default pick for opportunities, at least for now

Drysdale is very talented and if we knew he would stay more healthy going forward he is the choice here. But he has had a few bad injuries so far in his career, so although I would still choose him I could understand rolling the dice on a player that hasn’t proven much yet but has stayed healthy (and has pedigree)

have you watched those games Axe? i have not seen him play in Flayer uniform so just wondering if actual play reflects the stats...2 games to assists one primary, while decent stats they probably dont paint whole picture. I hope he takes off...own him in 2 leagues.

I've watched both games and he looks good so far. He wasn't on for the GWG in OT last night because he had just gone off. He started the OT with Couturier and Konecny.
