Not enough info here. I think Marchand will be valuable this season and next. If you’re in a keep-4 league, that first round pick might be really good. If you’re in a dynasty league with 16 teams and 25-man rosters, that 1st vs 2nd isn’t much different. If your league counts PIMs or +/-, if you’re a contender this fantasy season…. these things all play into trade decisions, right?

Its a cap dynasty league, so technically we keep all players. 20 teams, use 83,5m cap. Maximum 5 rookies. Pts only.

Personally I think you could do better for Marchand. At a minimum, I’d look at adding in a prospect who could play in the next 2 years. There’s nothing “wrong” with McCann but he had his career year ‘22-‘23, and you’re betting on him getting close to that again. Maybe, sure - I just think Marchand is a big chip to put on the table. See if you get other opinions

Id pay mcCann and a first for Marchand alone. But I’m a sucker for old studs who still have a season or two of gas in the tank. Find the contender in your league who needs the extra boost this year and squeeze him. But, if you’re in 6th place out of 20, that contender is probably you. Keep Marchand. As much as I hate his guts.
