I've got myself a bit of a dilemma regarding what to do with Brandt Clarke. He's been called up, which is great, but he was a healthy scratch in his first game and it seems like he's going to be spending a fair bit of time in the press box, at least in the short term, as the Kings' coach has said that he will get into "some" games during their upcoming road trip.

Clarke is currently in my NA slot, meaning that I can't make any moves. I'm not too concerned about not being able to use any adds, but I've been looking at some trades to stock up for a championship run but I can't trade while Clarke in that NA slot.

I could drop someone to make room for him (I'm looking at you Pacioretty) and just slot him into my lineup when he does play. But is he worth rostering if he's not playing regularly? The other option is to drop him. I picked him up in mid-November, so I think he's kind of flying under the radar at the moment but there's always a chance he'll get picked up if he becomes available. I'm pretty well set with young D-men (Seider, Luke Hughes, Bouchard), so I think I'd be okay dropping Clarke and replacing him with someone else in my NA slot.

I'm not sure. I've floated him in a couple of offers, but so far there's no interest.

it depends on the trades you’re trying to make, but looking at your lineup I think Patches is a luxury, and there’s no guarantee that he’s going to have all that much of an impact this year. You have enough depth at LW already. So I’d probably drop Pacioretty and move clarke up, and then hold and see if he gets in a few games and lights it up, which will inevitably increase his trade value.
