Buchnevich Letang for Suzuki Nurse? (Will rep)

Our league is ultra competitive in blocks and the extra from Nurse over Letang would help out in a big way (perhaps at the cost of scoring but Letang imhas been very inconsistent). Would you? Thanks!

Yes. Others are going to ask for all your scoring cats so I suggest you list them. I am high on Suzuki this season and so far it's on the money. More or less a wash trading Buch for him but you get what you're after in Nurse.

If this is a keeper or dynasty league, it’s Suzuki/Nurse by a mile, almost regardless of the categories or points structure. But again, listing your league regulations always helps with answers.

I’ll double down on my response after that - your centers could use the upgrade and you had Letang twice (LOL - corrected). But seriously, his loss of PP time has hurt his offensive upside, and his weeks-long injury risk?? I go Suzuki/Nurse, firmly.

Does it change if I can add Beniers, Burakovsky or Couture off FA? Certainly a gamble on each, but there's upside.

Short answer, no. Longer answer, why do you still have Rakell? Any of your FA opportunities have been more productive - well, not Couture - out all season - but he’s close enough. I think Rakell is the guy you keep comparing the waiver wire to, but my patience with him ran out long ago….

He was a FA add, and originally a mid round pick for a league mate I respect. Through a series of injuries I had to make moves I'm not proud of, and Rakell is one of them... but top line (for now), and all of his stats scream positive regression. Just hoping and praying. And if he goes on a heater, I can try to move him to a team that *hasn't* punted hits like myself.

I added him a couple weeks before he came back so I didn't have to deal with the pain of the previous owner, haha. And yeah had him playing last night and I'm very happy to see my hunch was right (so far)! I made the trade, thanks for your input. 2000+ views and a few responses, just wild.
