Fiala on the Waiver Wire

Hey all,

An impatient owner just dropped Fiala.

Currently I have the following expendable:

Buchnevich
Matheson
Sergachev

Cats: G, A, +/-, PPP, SOG, HITS

My current defense is doing well with Fox, Hedman, and Montour, so I could let one D go. I just hate to let anyone go for free on the waiver wire but I know the other teams will scoop Fiala in the next few days, so it would be too late to try and make a trade.

Thoughts on who I should drop? I know Fiala is typically a late starter.

I guess it's gotta be Matheson if those are the only drop options

is it just for this year? if it is im dropping Sergachev and keeping Matheson. If its keeper or dynasty and Sergachev is one of the keepers i agree to keep him as his long term future is much brighter than that of Matheson imo. So far this year they got similar offense but Matehsons PP1 (more pp points) and his SoG are much better.

Yup this is a one year league. Thanks for the post. Yep I did see Matheson is Montreal’s 1D and has better deployment. I’m just nervous that sergachev is one Hedman injury away from being great again. Not sure if that’ll ever happen though haha. I do know the other teams will grab any one of the players I drop for sure as they are weak at D.

well there is no great answer here, you dropping good player no matter what. Nobody here has a crystal ball (mine run out of battery, but personally i much rather make my decision based on the facts i know than assumption of what could happen.

I would drop Sergachev. Matheson does too much and it is a 1 year league.

Tough one, but I'd drop Matheson. I've had Serg before and also appreciated him on my fantasy squads.
