His one timer swing is so interesting. It's like a weird half clapper. Like outside in swing or something.

    ^This is weird comment.
Pretty normal for 1st, 2nd, 3rd year players to have cold-spells, statistically.
    Sounds like "hater/doubter" type thing.

Not really. Most of my posts have a sense of sarcasm. Or more than a sense

Just fell in love over the last month.

    mmmkay. got it.
sarcasm eludes me *usually* in typed forum messages and twitter.
(I am... seriously... lacking the skill to detect it.)

How would you compare Slaf's upside to that of Zegras'?

I started typing with the intention of saying go Zegras in points leagues, but in the process, I think I kind of talked myself out of it. He has a reputation as an offensive wizard, but he also seems like a guy who's gotten to where he is on pure talent and now doesn't know how to get to the next level. He scored 60 points as a rookie on a team that was nearly devoid of other offensive talent. But then the next year he recorded almost identical numbers in spite of the fact that he played six more games and saw his average ice time increase by a full minute. This season would have been telling, as he's hit 200 GP, but he's been hurt most of the year and his contract issues may help explain why he's only got 7 points through 20 games. I'd also guess that the Ducks probably wish he'd reduce the number of penalties he takes as you generally don't want one of your offensive stars in the box. If this happens, it will hurt his value in a lot of fantasy leagues as it would limit his peripheral contribution to just shots. The wild card here is that his name has been mentioned as a possible trade candidate and maybe the Ducks don't know what to do with him, in which case a change of scenery could do him good.

The big issue with Slafkovsky is that he's big and so is probably 2-3 seasons away from realizing his true potential. Until then, there will be a lot of up and down in his game and lots of notifications from Yahoo telling you that thousands of teams have dropped him.

So if you're in win-now mode, especially in a points-only league, Zegras still seems like the way to go. But in any other situation, I'm leaning Slafkovsky.
