Lyon for Necas

I’ve been offered Necas for Lyon. Not sure what to think about it. Lyon has been lights out every time he starts but that’s been few and far between. I do have Husso, Jarry and Koch right now. But it’s hard to find good goalie starts in this league. My team and categories are in the signature.

I would make this trade. Husso is still the #1 Goalie in Detroit and it isn’t like Lyon is some 21 year old rookie goalie who is playing lights out. He is a 30 year old journeyman goalie who is having a good stretch of it. Necas has 17 or 18 points already so I would get him to add depth to your forwards. You still have Jarry, Husso, Kochetkov and you could use the depth you have a forward to try and make a trade for a defenseman.

Truthfully you'd be ucky to get Necas, orr anything for that matter, for a goalie who's played 4 games (in my pool at least). You're setting yourself up for headaches if you trade the handcuff to Husso, and Necas isn't worth that in my mind.

I think Lyon is playing himself into a tandem, making Reimer expendable, and now threatening Husso.

That said, I'd take Necas for him, unless there are essentially no goalies on the wire.
