The question is what are you dropping Levi for? Are you picking up a 3rd Goalie to grab some starts and possible wins or are you looking for someone for the future? If it is to pick up some stats now then drop Levi for Kochetkov. If you’re looking for someone for the future then think about picking up Dostal.

Than I would go for Dostal. The only other goalie if he is available as he is in the minors is the Minnesota Goalie of the future Wallstedt. He is going to even be ahead of Gus when he is ready.

I am not sure about that, but I do think that Buffalo wanted him to play regularly and with having 3 goalies on the NHL team that wasn’t happening. So they sent him down to the AHL to play regularly and I guess to see exactly what UPL could do.

If your league is a one year league than don’t pick up Wallstedt. Pick up Dostal if you want to drop Levi.

I make the move for Kochetkov without question. He's playing now, and is the future on a good team behind injury prone guys on short contracts.

How I see them:


Kochetkov - the best guy for immediate & future production.
Dostal - number 2 for future production, but Gibson is in the way, and will be until one gets dealt.

Mrazek - NHL quality, starter on bad team right now, relatively safe in your format especially.
Blackwood - reviving his career propsects this year, surprisingly.
Lyon/Stolarz - former prospects who seemed to be NHL quality, and have played well at times over the last year or two. Generally backups, but Lyon is making a case right now.

Johansson - not really a NHL quality goalie. He's a number 3 or a bad number 2.
