Sweden has to win this one. They just have to. Home crowd, always one of the top 3 or 4 teams and never win. Lots of pressure though - let's see how they do against the powerhouse Americans.

Great point and I agree the team and country need it.

The place seems like its rocking! Would be sweet to be at the game!

A good buddy of mine is over there for the tournament. He bought a ticket package and travelled to Gothenburg for it. Not the first time he and his wife have travelled to Europe to partake in the WJC tourney.

He said on his facebook that the place is absolutely cooking. I can only imagine what it's like to take that in in person (much like Halifax last year I suppose) but watching it on TV, you can tell the Swedish fans are rocking the house.

Personally, I dont care who wins, I just want a good, tight game. So far so good. I did pick the US to win headed into the tourney so we'll see.

I'd have no problem with Sweden winning. I just want to see my guys do well- Perreault, Ostlund, Letterkenny, Leonard, and Rinzel.

Congrats to the US. Probably one of the more dominant WJ teams I've seen in years.

    Yes, very impressive.

And just imagine if they return as many players as they can for next years tourney.

I can easily see the USA winning again next year.

True. They were the clear favorites going in, and showed why in the final games. Good parity behind the US and nice to see Sweden getting to the final game.
