    Hey guys.

Both Erick and Jack Johnson are free agents in my keeper league.

it is a salary based keeper league, if both players turn into great defenseman they could likely be protected for 8 years in my draft if I scoop them now based on there 20 dollare salary. 1000 dollar cap, 30 percent increase per season

I can only protect 4 defencemen.

    I have

    Barker - 20
    Coburn - 20
    Markov - 20
    Sekera - 10
    Wideman - 20
    Yandle - 10
    Enstrom - 20
    Goligoski - 10

We don\'t have an injured reserve so they would be injured but on my 10 man reserve list.
    basically taking up a spot.

So what do you guys think? Are they going to be defenceman studs? If I put one of them on my reserve list and carry them, are they going to be in my top 4 defencman for protection right now?

Draft details are in my signature.

Karma for the good advice fellas thanks.

Which 4 are you planning on protecting? Because I would get EJ and protect him and Markov. The other two, im not sure.

    I\'m not sure yet.

I don\'t have to decide until the end of the year.

There are a few there with good potential.

I would definitely take the shot on EJ - I am not so sure about JJ because I simply don\'t see the upside there - you have some really good prospect D guys already. I would take EJ only.

While I don\'t understand the finer points of your system it sounds like you could get EJ and JJ locked up long term to a low salary. That is a no-brainer to me as even if they don\'t live up to the hype they should still be decent enough value.

I see you have Markov at $20. That must feel good. You could feel that good about EJ, JJ or both in a few years.

I see Markov as the only clear cut guy to be protected.

I would definitely take EJ and probably JJ who could be a valuable trade chip if nothing else.

Barker and Sekera are the others I like alot

After I carried them through all last season and protected them on draft day......only to see both out to long term injuries after playing a total of 2 games this year.

Johnson and Johnson might be suitable.

So thats the reason I am struggling with this. I carried both for one year. Do I do it again?

I\'d have to drop one of the guys I listed up top.

Or Vermette or Booth. But them I lose depth at forward because of it.

I grabbed EJ and Dropped Booth
    Still wondering about JJ
