Chychrun vs Sergachev

Who do you prefer?this year and in the long run?

Chychrun or Sergachev?

you will get lots of Sergachev votes here i think. I personally prefer Chychrun. Always loved his game but he is having hard time finding role he fits in. Now he is in bit of a log jam in Ottawa but still producing at pretty high rate. If he can find a spot on semi decent team where he is a #1, look out.

I like Sergachev too but you see what happens once Hedman is right...crazy how good the latter still is. I also think he will be this good for another 3-4 years.

Chychrun for this year, given that Hedman is getting the better deployment.

I'm a big Sergachev guy, but I would say that both are in the same neighborhood as far as longer term value. Still, I'll say Sergachev with Chychrun's spotty injury history being the determining factor.

The thing is because i have 3 Senators on my team and that was my point in doing this!

This is a close one - I could see both of these guys being top 10-15 all around D fantasy producers for next 5+ years. Sergachev only because of Chychrun injury history, but if Chychrun stays relatively healthy rest of his career, I go him, in part because Tampa is going to eventually subside offensively and the Sens are only getting better.

yes sens are getting better, but i dont think he will be there long term..that is my biggest concern with him that he does not have a "sweet" NHL spot just yet. Im not worrying as much about injuries tbh
