    Top scorers available at this time and Points Per Game are: Reinhart 1.53...Boeser 1.31...Guentzel 1.29...Scheifele..1.20...Malkin 1.21...Kempe...1.14. Which one do you like?

    Hi Guys. We get 6 swaps a year, this will be my first after a stunningly fast fall from 1st by a lot to 3rd.
    Points are G - 1 A - 1. So many good players are still available in our pool because we draft just 24 forwards who are exclusive to the team that drafts him. Then, any undrafted player is a "free agent" who can go on any team's original roster or be picked up by any/all teams in the pool by using 1 of our 6 swaps as I'm doing now.

    Looking forward to getting your input as I'm not sure of who to go with so value your opinions. Thanks for your thoughts. Will rep who I can.
    SOME POOL RULES. Points only (G-1, A-1). One year Hybrid Pool. 3 round draft with balance of roster selected from any undrafted NHLer.. 19F 4 D 2 Rooks SALARIES AND POSITIONS DO NOT MATTER (other than being a F or D). NO Inter-Team Trading, Bench or Minors. Our WAIVER WIRE is ANY player in the NHL who is not Drafted in our league's 3 round draft. Each manager gets 6 ADD/DROPS (TRADES) for the year...any player on roster can be TRADED for any unDrafted F/D/R from ANY NHL team. INJURY RULE "IR". A hurt player can be replaced by another F/D from HIS NHL team and this is NOT considered a trade.. Injured player can be put back on team any time.

    everyone has an argument but I'll go with Scheifele since he's in a contract year as well as the Jets strong fantasy hockey playoff schedule weeks 24-26.

    I don't think playoffs matter in this pool.
    It seems like a season long total pool, points only.

    Given that I'm looking for a proven performer and trying to discount hot/unsustainable starts.

    I'm looking at one of the Pens, either Guentzel or Malkin. I prefer Malkin to keep his pace and while the injury risk is there as I read the rule an injured Malkin could be temporarily replaced by a Guenzel (if available) or even a R. Smith or Rust...

    In conclusion: Reinhart and Boeser starts seem non-maintainable. I like Malkin to continue at PPG or better and the injury risk is mitigated by a free replacement.

You got it. If hurt, Malkin can be replaced on my roster, free, by any Penguin forward not named Crosby (who was drafted).

    I'm happy to see neither of you are high on Reinhard or Boesser as I just can't see either of them maintaining this incredible pace but....

    Schiefele / Malkin would be my first choice, followed by Guentzel. Those 3 have proven they can maintain their scoring pace. It is more likely than not that Reinhart and Boeser’s numbers regress as they’re playing at unsustainable metrics. Since you’ve got few swaps and you’re, rightly, looking at the long game here, go with one of the guys I listed, in the order I listed them.
