Dobber and All: My D is Killing my Team, Help!

I am exploring the trade route because i have an unbelievable amount of strength at W and C, but believe me it is very tough. With that said I want to know if any of you feel that I just have to be more patient with my D or if any of the FAs would be good options to give me a boost. I care more about this years production but still with an eye on the long term.

Gonchar (killed me when he went down)
Kaberle (my best d)
Coburn (solid)
Visnovksi (drives me nuts, but i should be patient right?)
Bouwmeester (same as visnovski)
McCabe (as much of a loser as this guy as, he must have 40p in him)
Carle (been patient but if philly isn\'t the \'fit\' either he\'s gone)
Goligoski (i\'ve actually been impressed)
Sekera (recent pickup, but with Rivet back he\'s getting ZERO PP??)

Your team D is quite solid; however they have been slumping as a group so I can understand your frustration.

The free agents you list aren\'t going to give you an improvement over what you have dressed. Your best bet is to be patient; Kaberle is turning it on now, Mccabe is back from his injury, and Visnovsky just needs to settle in in Edmonton, Carle needs some stability.

I wouldn\'t panic yet, but keep a close eye on it.

I agree with hockeyislife...I know it is frustrating, but you have a pretty nice defense (I wish I had your problem) and I do not see anything on the FA list that would be better to any meaningful degree.

When Gonchar gets back and after some time to get on track, your D should be more than fine
