Vladdy/Bo- They must know their long term intentions, but I feel like Bo isn't here in 3yrs as they can't afford the 3.
    Your potential options:

    3B - crap and a problem
    2B - crap and a problem
LF - as noted, a big problem.

Ohtani is a beast but he's going to hurt them as a TEAM if he signs there. He (and Trout) couldn't help the Angels win and not sure it changes in Toronto.

I hate to be cynical on something so many are excited about but I see this as a big problem if this doesn't work over the next couple seasons when they still have Bo and Vladdy. And him signing doesn't help them fill the other holes. He's a DH and eventually a SP. Ugh.

Heard same as @BNightengale, that Shohei Ohtani is not in Toronto or on his way to Toronto at this time & is at home in SoCal.

Again, #BlueJays appear to be finalists and we will see where this leads.

The Jays pitching staff is way better than the Angels ever had.

The goal (right or wrong) would be that Ohtani is the difference maker, not the centerpiece. Obviously he's the Superstar and the center piece, but he's not the only player on this team.

But man...this is a huge let down if they don't actually sign him....More so because they waited for this long where other players are now off the board that fit their needs.

The only way I see Ohtani signing in Toronto is if Masai Ujiri is the one working the deal. I’ll believe it when I see it but my money isn’t on Toronto.

But I wish this kid would just make up his mind.

What a freaking mess. If this all wasn't true, how the hell does Toronto management not come out today and say "Hey we've made a pitch and hoping to land him but he is not travelling to Toronto". Like holy hell. Twitter was mayhem today.

Bellinger's significant other posted a pic last night of the CN Tower showing she was in Toronto. I am ready to get hurt again

I think the Jays know what Bellinger wants, and they'll pivot to the trade market.

Guys like Luis Robert, Machado, Jose Ramirez, and Christian Yelich will likely be in the trade rumours soon if not already. TV deals coming up for some reason means teams want to shed salary. (this article kinda touches on the Mariners issues).

So the trade market might start rolling. Maybe even like Arenado (but he has a full NTC)
