Dostal - Long term thoughts

After returning from injury, Gibson has started 2 in a row (both of Ana's games) posting excellent numbers in both games (.938, .971 SV%). With his contract, I expect he'll be seeing 2/3 of the starts unless he sucks for long stretches.

Somebody dropped Dostal in my dynasty league, so i snagged him...I hope he starts to get more games and take over! I grabbed him more for the long-term value anyway, I was so surprised he was dropped!

Dostal should not have been dropped in a Dynasty league. So fantastic pick up for you. Early on this season he seemed to be in line for more of a bulk load in the net as he was doing pretty good, but then he hit a rough patch and I suppose the Ducks lost some confidence in Dostal to take the reigns. Regardless of that he is in line to take over from Gibson at some point so hang on to him as he has all the tools.

I agree! He is now in my prospect rotation alongside Sogaard and Annunen....its the team in my sig. As you can tell, goaltending is a massive weakness for me and I don't even have a #1...nobody available on FA either so I've just been biding my time since my team is not ready to contend yet anyway. I would expect Dostal to hopefully get more starts as the season goes on
