in points only no, as much as I like Othmann it looks doubtful he will crack the roster this year.
I have been offered the following:
Meier and Othmann
for
Barzal and Brink
I am in a points only keeper league.
This other GM is looking for a playing rookie in Brink as I have Grieg and Perrunovich as well.
He also has Batherson as an option instead of Meier.
Would you do this trade for Meier or Batherson with Othmann
Any help would be great.

Does it make it any different if its a straight Meier for Barzal.
Another GM offered Dubois for Barzal today
I keep thinking there is more there that Barzal can give, but hard to be sure as the NYI don't exude offensive confidence.
Alot of views but no responses.
Can some of you help out here.
Barzal or Meier
Straight points keeper league.
I prefer Meier to Batherson & Dubois, and slightly to Barzal. Epsecially if you break out forward positions, although Barzal should be getting wing eligibility.
I don't want to give up Brink for Othmann.

This is like a battle of the overrated forwards that are more valuable in real hockey than they are in pts only. If it comes down to that I take the one that's guaranteed the best deployment, which is Barzal. It doesn't even feel good to say that... I honestly think he's the best player here but the Islanders... oof. I can see how you could want to rid yourself of that feeling but I think in this scenario you might want to hold out for now and hope something changes.

I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Keep Barzal. What you're getting back is not a surefire upgrade.

nj seems to have more weapons than the isles to spread out the scoring and racking up assists counts just as much as goals in your format so I'll give the slight edge to Barzal .
Positional eligibility should factor in here as it is all close. Can’t see your roster. Can’t really answer accurately.

In points only I don’t think you can go wrong with Barzal vs Meier. Any type of multicat and it’s Meier hands down for me.
I also agree that Brink for Othman is bad move.
Another vote for points only is Barzal > Meier but that switches in any type of multi category league.
Barzal as he is the only one that has the potential to go off for 90+ pts.
In general though, i think it's a whose-who of 65-75 pt forwards. In cap leagues I'd lean Batherson>Barzal>Meier, and in non-cap leagues I'd go Barzal>Meier/Batherson
