    Default Adam Fox or...?

    Hello!

I'm debating whether I should drop Adam Fox ($9.5m) and pickup another C or W.

Our league tends to cherish cheaper players, so there is always expensive top talent to grab. Below are the best options available. Stupid to not drop Fox for one of them? My defense isn't amazing, hence the uncertainty.

    League / team in signature

    Barkov $10m
    Point $9.5m
    Pastrnak $11.5m

    NHL Cap Hit
G, A, SOG, HITS, BLKS, STP, FOW, Takeaways
    W, GAA, SV%, SO

    C

I'm not sure Trocheck will produce enough to justify his price tag, whereas I feel that Fox, Pasta and Barkov will. If you can keep Fox and somehow squeeze one of those other two in place of Trocheck I'd consider it. Let me end though by saying cap leagues are not my strong point, so take this all with a grain of salt.

How many start at each position?
    Daily or weekly starts?
I think your C are weaker than your W, so would lean Point if you do this - unsure that I would, though.
Odd thought: is Trouba out there?

Trouba is there but is $8m. Thinking if I dropped Fox I would go for a hefty C and then prioritize a hitting / blocking D for cheap.

Yeah, I suspected he might be out there. He's really great in this sort of format, better than Fox, in my opinion, but he's not much cheaper.

You do seem to have some cheapish gritty D already, so that's solid. I'd still lean Point.

I have to agree, your D is not amazing. Fox is by far your most valuable D, he is elite. Sergachev has not usurped Hedman for PP1, he might, but he might not, and Chychrun is behind Chabot and Sanderson is absolutely in the mix there as well. Then you have 3 decent bangers, and a rookie who is promising for sure but far from being an established NHL offensive Defencemen. I'd keep Fox. I can't see your team being competitive, you have a lot of nice youth and few other very desirable pieces to build around and I'd do just that, including Fox.
