this too me feels like a bad move to try and get better periphs.. there has to be a better way than severe overpayment. maybe im off base as i dont play in a Hts/Blks league
League settings and roster in signature. Should I move my Zegras + Drysdale for Bertuzzi? I'm looking to make a 2-for-1 trade where I get the best player in the trade (for this season only) and it also frees up one roster spot for me to add a defenseman with better peripherals (hits, blocks, PIMs) such as Provorov or Zadorov. I also have quite a few centers at the moment.
Thanks!

This is too much to give to get to Bertuzzi. I'd overpay in a hits league for guys at the top (a Tkachuk, JT Miller, Meier, etc.) But trading potential low-peripheral scoring superstars for middling, more-well rounded guys isn't the way to go. Even in banger leagues, at some point, you need guys to carry the scoring load. It is easier to get a Gudas or Deslauriers or Luke Schenn than a big time scorer. The line of thinking of trading Jack Hughes-types for Sam Bennett-types is one that leads to the mushy middle of a league.
I value Zegras above Bertuzzi here with the fact that Zegras has I believe more potential and secondly plays on the #1 PP.

I'd simply cut Drysdale and grab a multi-cat D instead of that.
If you're going to shop that combo, aim higher. Much higher.

I’ll echo the sentiments above. You’re giving away the best player here (Zegras). I like Bertuzzi and he is probably in for a career year in Toronto, but Zegras is a budding superstar. If you are going to move the Ducks combo, you should be aiming for a multi-cat stud like Timo Meier, Tom Wilson or Evander Kane.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
I agree with all of the above. Moreover Bertuzzi is injury prone so you won’t even get the expected return.
