How would you rank those players considering their salary for next season (and not for future fantasy value)

Something like this. I prefer to think in salary "tiers" so that I can look at how much money I have available and draft appropriately. I have the top clump of guys ranked pretty similar. I have my doubts about Gaudreau's motivation level in Columbus. Even at his pricetag, he could be the top pick here, but I'm in "believe it when I see it" mode with him.
Thomas/Hintz/Stamkos are almost a wash for me but I can see a reasonable argument to have Stamkos ahead.

Since it's a points-only league, it's a pretty simple process - source a bunch of projections and divide the total points by their cap hit (gives you points per $1 million).

I have a spreadsheet that currently has 11 projection sources on it, and here are the results:

Marchessault - 12.68
Tarasenko - 11.84
E. Kane - 10.28
Stamkos - 10
Hintz - 9.08
Svechnikov - 8.93
Gaudreau - 8.8
Thomas - 8.71
Suzuki - 8.52
