The WHL is becoming a bigger joke every day. First Lethbridge hires Bill Peters, then the Wenatchee Wild coach Kevin Constantine gets suspended for racism and now Red Deer announces their captain who was kicked off Seattle not long ago for racism.

What is wrong with the west?

Always wondered why many coaches hired happen to be the biggest POS ever. I could even feel back when I was a kid there was something wrong with hockey in general. everything from the hazing to coaching in general. In some respects im glad I wasn't part of all the BS but same time things shouldn't be this way. What ever happened to all the player coaches? You don't have to be a jerk to be a good coach.

So many issues need to be cleaned up in hockey. We are in 2023, why is it hard to hire a decent human being!

It's Red Deer. Being a racist POS is a feature, not a bug in that city.

It sucks that this is true. This type of negative re-enforcement mentioned above is a big problem. Its why I dont buy all these "we are not like that" propaganda. Its not about saying, its about doing (or not, in this case). I also have the realistic expectation that it will take time to breed out the ignorance, we have to patient and uphold the expectation.
