NEW Dobber Fantasy Hockey League (DFHL) cash league open invitation for GMs!

Kicking off a brand new, full dynasty salary cap league where you can go head to head against fellow dobber members and see if you have what it takes to win it all and build a dynasty.
Up to 14 team spots are available!

This will be a H2H points league, where the team with the most points wins the week.

Draft will kick off this Tuesday at 9am PST and will be a slow draft (max 2 hours per pick) with an overnight pause so you can draft the team you want without worrying about autodraft. As we get closer to the regular season puck drop, we will reduce the max time allowed per pick to ensure all rosters are full by puck drop.

Brief overview of rules:

• $100 CAD buy in, payouts to be split 70/20/10 to 1st/2nd/3rd
• Salary cap will be 130% of the NHL salary cap
• Cap numbers will use AAV
• All players count towards the cap, with 3 exceptions (each team is allowed 1 unsigned player, 1 "U23" player they designate to be salary exempt, and 1 "franchise" skater whose salary is exempt)
• Roster size: 12 F, 6 D, 1G, unlimited reserve (up to the cap)
• Points only league (1 pt for G or A; 2.5 pts for a goalie win and 1 pt for shutout)
• No pick ups during the year. Instead, there will be two drafts within the season (at the 1/3 mark and the 2/3 mark of the NHL calendar), with the order being the reverse order of standings. This system encourages trading, savvy drafting, and also ups the difficulty for top teams as they can't rely on waiver wire pickups to boost their roster.
• There will be an offseason draft each year with the order being tied to the NHL draft lottery odds.
• 10 roster moves each year (i.e., moving a player from your bench to active roster, or vice versa). Injury swaps are exempt.
• Since we are all dobber users, league members will be asked to not post questions to the forums about potential trades within our league as this will damage league participation and trading!
• There will be a whatsapp or telegram group made (teams' preference) to foster chatting and engagement.
• I will work with each team to custom create a logo for your team if you need one.
