I probably lose out on some of the points categories (g, A, SOG, PPP) but not sure by how much it really depends on Johnny. I get huge boost in PIMs, HITS, BLKS. Worth the move or dumb move haha

I don't hate it. I'd probably like it more if Rakell and Barbashev were out of the deal, but maybe they need to be in to balance it from the other side's perspective. It's a lot of offense to move and kind of a buy high/sell low with Gaudreau going out and Morrissey coming in, but I am not sweating losing 2 non-bangers in Gaudreau and Maccelli. Not the types I go for in a banger league.

I think you can afford to shave off some points to gain some big peripherals. I'm not convinced you're losing that many points as I don't see Macelli as a better than replacement level asset. Gaudreau should bounce back and Rakell and Wilson could be a wash but I think Barbashev over Macelli is a win. Overall I think this is just a good hockey trade. I like it.

I don't love either side to be honest. I think Maccelli will disappoint, but also that Wilson is getting near that age where rough and tumble players see their offense dry up. In cases like this where I don't see a clear win for the trade, I usually just stand pat.

Yea I am not very high on Maccelli especially in this format. Rakell if healthy and if he repeats his hits level from last year is a good piece but that is a big question as is the health of Wilson.

So yea lots of question marks in the deal. Only person that concerns me is losing Johnny if he has a great year again.

I’d do this trade and aquire Morrissey, he’s the player I’d want to own the most out of the 6 involved.

I like it enough to do it. I agree that you need more grit in a league like this, and Gaudreau & Maccelli won't help at all there.

Tough one - Smith has made a career out of doing quite well his first season on a new team. But Rakell meshed quite well with the Pens last season. His spot in the top six is also more secure. So yes, I'd probably prefer to include Smith instead.
