Sorry, I missed a couple weeks,
But its back.
Lets hear your top 10 restaurants!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will put no parameters on it just like the alcoholic beverage/beers one.
There was lots of localized beers that were included in that, but it brought on good discussion.

Chain Restaurants:
1. Dominos - If I need food in a pinch and I'm going to a chain it's almost certainly going to be pizza and almost certainly going to be Dominos. Just a high quality pie and consistently so.
2. Pita Pit - If I'm getting a sandwich I don't actually want a sandwich, I want a pita. Just a superior delivery method and food type.
3. Dairy Queen - I worked here as a youth and if you think I'm sick of it, you are dead wrong. I know all the best food combinations. Top tier fast food dinner/dessert combo.
4. Texas de Brazil - The card stays green until I turn green. I've never tried Fogo de Chao which I understand is the same concept.
5. Freshii - Best chain restaurant out there if I want something quick and legitimately healthy.
6. Raising Cane's - I love fried chicken but really don't like most fried chicken chains. Cane's is legit though.
7. Harvey's - If I want a burger done to my exact specifications, Harvey's is where I want it from. A Canadian classic!
8. Red Lobster - If I'm in the city and want seafood I'll be at the Red Lobster in case you change your mind!
9. Montana's - If we're sitting down to a pub style meal in a chain this place is solid enough.
10. McDonald's - I never eat here but we always stopped in on road trips for the kids I was coaching. Legitimately great coffee though.
Mine's pretty localized. But:
1. Rapscallion - Hamilton
2. The Mule - Hamilton
3. Burro - Burlington (same owner as The Mule)
4. Cima - Hamilton and Burlington
5. Martello - Hamilton
6. Napoleans - Burlington
7. The Keg
8. Victorias - Hamilton
9. St Louis
10. Mai Pai - Hamilton
I'll give a top 5 Fast Food though:
1. McDonalds
2. Popeyes
3. Haverys
4. Arbys
5. Mr. Sub

Tutto Bene is our favourite one in Markham. My favourite spot in Brampton (JRed & Co) closed down due to the pandemic. Haven't found a "favourite" yet in Mississauga, but we're slowly trying a lot of them. Some good Shawarma and Chinese places around. Generally for those and pizza I find it is so much better going to the one-off places than the chains. A lot of the time, trying a new place is more fun too, so we end up doing a lot of trying new restaurants rather than going back to a good one.

Aberdeen Tavern isn't something I've been crazy about only because I'm not a big breakfast person and they do the like App+Main for one price and it ends up just being more food than I normally eat. The French is owned by them and they do pretty much the same menu, but you don't need to buy an app if you don't want.
St James Eatery is my favourite breakfast place. the Drive In sandwich is superb. Their coffee is blah. I'm pretty sure the people who own St James is apart of some like small cult like religious group though lol. I think it's called One Community.

So many great Indian restaurants in Brampton to name. Anhoki is a good one. In general I like St. Louis Wings. A great Italian sandwich place (in Brampton) was Tony & Jim’s. Mezes is a pretty good Greek place to eat on the Danforth, if it’s still there. Firehouse Subs (gotten smaller for some reason) hits the spot.
Vesuvios is my favourite Italian spot in Brampton. Also International restaurant in Brampton had amazing Portuguese cuisine but sadly gone. Too many..
1) Chartier - worth the trip to Beaumont, Alberta
2) Boston Pizza - great for those with young kids
3) Popeyes - only been once but their wings were fantastic
4) Wendy's
5) McDonald's
6) Olive Garden - hard to beat the soup, salad breadstick combo
7) Tony Roma's - do they still exist?
8) Made by Marcus - it's an ice cream shop!
That's all I have.
Another Hamilton spot...Cowabunga+. It's a pizza restaurant. Love their stuff.
