I remember Chad Kilger in Anaheim playing with Paul Kariya. They tore it up during the Chads 1st? Preseson and he was the hottest thing coming out of training camp. Then the season started and he was a huge disappointment.

This thread is hilarious. Brule, lol, that guy was a little wrecking ball and actually had a decent little career.
But one caveat - now young guys have a much straighter path to getting into the roster and getting TOI and a role immediately. That wasn’t the case then, which I think contributed to guys not living up to fantasy expectations.

J Pelletier got hurt after 7 min of ice-time. Hit from behind into the boards by Studenic, who was thrown from the game. ...looking at the sequence, I'm not sure Studenic was at much more fault than Pelletier.

After they acquired him the GM mentioned that they like him as a PP QB. So there is that. Valimaki is a much better player though. It will be very interesting to see how they're used.
